Adventures of a Free-From Clothbum Mum!

Cloth nappies, dairy-free living, reviews and parental ramblings!

g…g…g…goodness me! It’s a gNappy GIVEAWAY!!!

on July 7, 2012

Before I tell you all about this fabulous giveaway that the lovely people at gNappieshave helped me with, I must start off by apologising.

I mentioned this giveaway a little while ago, when I put up my review of these fabulous nappies. I had all the best intentions in the world of getting the giveaway up and running pretty much straight away afterwards, but then – well – life kind of took over. I’ve been very busy both at work and home and then, this week, I got the most horrible sickness bug/ cold. It completely floored me and it’s only been today that I’ve got up the energy to do anything else other than the basics of looking after Monkey and myself (Mr Clothbum has been a star at helping me get some rest)

So – I typed this next bit about the giveaway aaaaaages ago – so I’d better get on and upload it. I just thought I’d better add this bit in at the beginning as a way of an apology!

So – hands up who quite likes cloth nappies? Who thinks they’re pretty damn cute and loves how easy they are to use? No faffing around with chemical-ridden plastic things… no massive blowout leaks due to the fab elastic and great containment… Hardly any nappy rash due to the fact that your little one’s skin can properly breathe…

Well – I’d hope that if you’re reading this blog, that you nodded away in agreement to most of those statements. At the end of the day – as you all know (or should know), Cloth Nappies Rock.

But, of course, there is a rather large problem associated with these nappies.

One that they don’t warn you about.
One that kind of creeps up on you.
until one day you kind of realise…

Yes – you may have every single colour. Most styles. Different wraps. Day and night nappies. Ruffles and Tutus.

But, the bottom line is that us Cloth Bum Mums (and Dads…) always looks at other nappies and go – ooooooooh!

So (and I love this bit) – Would you like the chance to go OOOOOOH very loudly and grab yourself a nappy for FREEEEEEE?

Of course you would! gNappies have been absolutely amazing and have given me some nappies to giveaway to two lucky winners. Each winner will receive a medium little gPant (sized to fit babies between 13 and 28lb, which is 5-13 kg)

All you have to do is answer the following:

As always, you have three ways to enter – via Facebook (search for daisytheclothbummum), via this blog or via Twitter (put #gnappydaisy) in your tweet or I won’t pick them up.

The competition is open as of NOW and will close on Thursday 12th July 2012 at 5pm, with the winner announced asap after that.

The T&C are as follows:

The competition will close at 5pm on Thursday 12th July 2012
The nappies will only be posted out to a UK address.
The winners will be decided by daisytheclothbummum and is final.
The winners will be notified, and announced, as soon as possible after the giveaway closes.
After the competition closes, I’ll pick out ten entries that are (in my eyes) the most creative and they’ll go into the ‘hat’. Monkey will then pick out a winner and I’ll document this via slightly cropped photos for you!
If the winner has any problems with the nappies then he/she must contact gNappies directly.

daisytheclothbummum gives her time freely to run this giveaway and is not being paid for running it.

Best of luck, everyone!

We have been cloth bumming my little man for 9 months now but we have just bought a caravan for lots of family holidays. However, when getting back to nature there are no washing machines, which means no washing my nappies! I did try to just keep them in wet bags for the week but they stunk and I don’t think it did my nappies any good. I have been using horrible disposables but would love to use this hybrid version, they look super cute šŸ™‚

I would love to have a free gPant, we have been cloth bumming our little boy for 9 months now and I am loving it. We recently bought a caravan and although it’s great for family holidays and getting back to nature, this means no washing machine, which means no cloth šŸ˜¦ I did try it with leaving my nappies in a wet bag for the week but they were very smelly and I don’t think it did my nappies any good. Have been using horrible disposables but would love to try this hybrid. I love the look of them, they are so cute šŸ™‚

We would love another gpant in our stash. We have a couple already and they are the most amazing nappies – my little girl’s bum is noticeably happier after she’s worn one, any rashes clear up more easily thanks to the breathable pouch – we just love them! It’s also a nappy even my husband chooses out, so definitely need more of them! We love how versatile they are – my parents live overseas so we travel a lot to see them, and a stash of gnappies could be our answer to travelling light, plus using a mix of cloth + biodegradable inserts means that we won’t have to pack dirty nappies in our luggage on our way home! My girl is just ready to move up to the medium size now šŸ˜€

  16. Fadzliza Zulkifli says:

we love ’em Gs from tiny to small, and now we need the medium to carry on the good loving ;D

  19. Jeanne says:

I would love a gNappy to add to my growing stash. I`m expecting baby #2 in 6 weeks, and have been researching reuseable nappies since I found out I was pregnant. It took some doing to convince my husband, but he`s finally on board! gNappies are so cute, look like an easy cloth nappy option, and of course are good for the environment:-). I mostly have the cheaper versions of nappies, so a few great quality, well know brands would be amazing to have.

  20. Robyn Logan says:

My baby boy is due in a weeks time and I’m a cloth nappy addict already, they are so much cuter than disposables and the benefits are fantastic. I fell in love with gNappies when one of the woman in our antenatal class brought one along as she too is a nappy addict.

  21. […] I have been trying to get him playing with the ‘hat’ so that we could do our gNappy GIVEAWAY He just wasn’t interested in putting his hands inside it at all. Lots of other things went in […]
